Original design as a png:

Don’t have access to layers, so I used the “trace” function in Silhouette Studio. I started at the lowest sentitivity and took a “snapshot” every time it selected a part I wanted, and worked my way up until I had the layers separated by color.

I was trying to decide if the grey vinyl layer should have a red vinyl layer under it and eye holes, or if the grey vinyl layer should be directly on the black vinyl layer with red vinyl eyes on top. I think the latter is better.

The SiserNA PDF says to use 3, but some of my cuts weren’t deep enough, so I made it 4, but now it penetrates the paper backing sometimes. sigh.

Of course since I was just sublimating, my brain auto-piloted on mirroring the image. Hahahaha

Black and red layers

With grey and white layers (I forgot the highlight on the top of the alien head). By this time I realized it shouldn’t be mirrored lol, but I just finished the sticker cuz I wanted to see how it would look.

I tried again.

Here’s black and grey. I was going to try to lay down each layer 3 stickers at a time, but the 3rd grey one came out with the cuts not penetrating all the way through the vinyl. I ended up layering each sticker one at a time.

I’m pretty happy with how they look!
